A Sojourn on the Sea of Galilee

We have hitchhiked from Safed and found ourselves in a semi-large town named Tiberias. We ate mediocre pizza, spent some shekels on a tall Goldstar dark lager and mostly loitered in the park. The sun began to set and we wrestled with our rucksacks once more and walked to the outskirts of the township seeking accommodations.  Finding none, save a dirty rocky cove on the banks of the lake (Sea of Galilee or as it is locally called, the Kinneret), we hunkered down and made camp. When we awoke we left immediately to Dugit Beach on the Eastern side of the sea. good riddance. I understand why the locals don’t spend much time on this side.
