Patras, Greece

Patras, Greece to Venice, Italy; 30 hour boat trip. The customers aboard quickly learn the meaning of deck seats as a mass of people flood from the waiting gates to frantically claim cushions and carpeted floor space. Much drinking and gambling ensue and the hours began to quickly pass. Lucky for us, my compatriots and I, the ship has a psuedo-pool (which is a pit on the front deck and filled via pumping sea water from below deck.) After a bottle of wine, it felt as good as any. A Bracing sea, the salty breeze, drunken dreams and an unexpected down-pour later we arrive soundly in Venice; the tourist trap from hell.
